Sooty Terns
The Sooty Terns are still coming in but now
many of them are starting to land in the evening and return to fishing
in the early hours of the morning. On first impressions it does not seem
as if there are as many as this time last year but then who knows, the
situation can change overnight so we must not be too quick to judge! As
the food supply increases with the onset of the South East monsoon in
the next month or so, the birds will follow suit and build in numbers
I'm sure.
Seychelles Tourist Board Films Commercials
on Bird
Earlier this
month we welcomed the Seychelles Tourist Board to the island along with
a film crew who were producing promotional commercials for the country.
With the help of Roby, Franky and Philip we transported some of the
tortoises onto the beach for one clip and for the other, Marie-France
was filmed out in her Kayak with the birds flying overhead. We look
forward to seeing the results later in the year.
Weather and our Holidays!

April is traditionally a hot month on Bird
but this year it was almost unbearable at times. Marie-France does not
remember an April like this in all her time on the island. Thankfully
for Nick and myself we had the chance to escape to the UK to catch up
with friends and family and experienced probably the best spring ever in
the UK. We had glorious weather for the entire time we were there.
The
highlights of our trip were enjoying the excitement of Dylan's first
Easter Egg hunt in my parents garden in East Sussex and the most wonderful week in
Edinburgh visiting my brother and sister. We can't wait to go back next
year!
