Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Seychelles, has increased its inter-island flights between Mahé and Bird Island and is now flying daily. This will provide residents and international travellers with more choice and convenience.

The development will see Air Seychelles operate flights to the Bird island 340 days a year, representing a major upgrade to its current charter operation. The service has been upgraded following an agreement signed between Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer at Air Seychelles and Alex Savy, owner and manager of the island resort.

Lying roughly 100km north of Mahé, Bird Island is a small coral island known for its spectacular birdlife. The highlight is a colony of more than a million sooty terns which nest there every year, along with many other seabirds. 24 nature-friendly chalets can also be found on the island, offering leisure travellers and bird lovers a memorable tropical escape.
