There is much about Bird Island that makes it such as special place but the most important of all is its natural heritage. The island has a diverse range of flora and fauna, seen through it natural parkland area and forested interior, the birds that call the island home, the Giant Aldabran Tortoises that roam the grounds, and the variety of marine life in the island’s surrounding waters.
